The Poet
Angelique Dupont was glad when she finally sat in her car and could drive
home. Had been a long, hectic day it and, once, overtime had had to make her
again. Your boss had had a meeting after the other one with foreign guests and
at everybody it had to be there to translate. The CD player put on in the car
and you her mood improved itself suddenly when the first sounds of "Lay
your Hands on me," of voucher Jovi resounded. It sang sound and in the
quiet one it thought, 'you would not need to ask me Jonny twice' and grinned
mischievously in front of itself to. When Angie arrived in her flat, it kicked
the pumps of the feet, its jacket hung on the wardrobe, its bag put down on the
little dresser and went straight into the bathroom. ' first time a hot bath '
it imagined and water could be run in the bathtub. She arrived into the
kitchen, made a bread for itself, poured itself a glass of white wine and took
both to the bathroom meanwhile. She then undressed and stretched herself out in
the bath. Agreeable warmth received her, bodies braced hers slowly as her in
the fragrant water sat down. She closed the eyes for a couple of minutes and
relaxed, she simply switched off and let the stress of the day behind himself.
Bath water added and the candles which she in the bath had distributed and
switched on added these her left the bath oils, these to this her. In the water
pleasantly lollingly their bread ate them and himself drank the wine.
When she lay in the bath, Angie thought. Actually she really had it anyway
well. She had a terrific job which was very exhausting although but
nevertheless also was a joke sometimes. She had a terrific owner-occupied flat,
a new car, what she wanted more?
And whom had she to thank for all this? Your great-aunt Marie, the sister
of her grandma.
Aunt Marie had been very prosperous and had bequeathed her complete fortune
to Angie. Aunt Marie had not had any babies since her husband had fallen in the
second World War. You had managed just to get married before he was called.
When Marie got older, she pulled to a renowned old people's home at the edge of
the town in which Angie lived since her divorce. She had paid a visit to Angie
in the month twice. She always got a little melancholy when she thought of her
aunt. She had been the last relative who had still had her.
Flashback:
Your parents had been killed in a road accident, as Angie she had 12 years
oldly and had their aunt immediately taken at herself. Angie had to move to
France at that time but she did not mind. She had been happy in Brest, the
wonderful place at the eastern seaboard. Your aunt had pulled her up with a lot
of love and made a good education possible for her. Angie had always felt
enthusiastic about foreign languages therefore she made her hobby the
profession and became a foreign-language correspondent at French television.
At the transmitter she also had met her former husband Reza, this was as a
mechanic there employ been. He was her first great love and had the blue for it
of the sky promised if she would marry him and drag to Germany with it. She was
even 25 years old at that time and had enjoyed too only believing the false
promises. Your aunt "child" still had warned her of him, had she
always said to her ", child this man is nothing good, he will make you sad
"! But Angie had talked long enough until her aunt agreed, because without
the consent Angie did not want to get married. Since it was difficult for Marie
anyway to refuse her great-niece something, Angie did not need a great persuasive
power either.
So Marie Angie organized a wonderful wedding, a honeymoon bought for it
young married and a generous sum gave them start-up capital for the life which
Angie and her husband Reza wanted to build up in Berlin.
Everything also ran incredibly between Reza and Angelique the first six
years. Your husband was loving and tender to her despite much hard work. You
had opened a Turkish restaurant and worked on the fulfilment of a dream
together. Reza had to build the dream in its hometown in Turkey, a house, and
to go back to his hometown then again, if they had carried enough money
together. Angie supported their husband where it only could. Early in the
morning circulated they clean in an office block, then it made their household,
it was following in the restaurant to the at noon business on time to help
there. In the business it and its husband always stayed until the early hours.
You lived in a little flat, many did not allow themselves, it had been in
Turkey with Reza twice. It had met its parents-in-law there and had been
accepted by them friendly.
But everything suddenly had
changed, Reza was always irascible opposite it once in a while. It threw her
insults to the head and frequently came home only in the early morning. It had
been, it then rested completely out and only had malicious and degrading words
for her if she then asked it where. Angie explained this by the stress which
was rampant in the restaurant and furthermore tried to make all right to him.
But instead of better it got worse and worse, it finally began, too, to beat
them. It started with a slap, but it got worse from time for time. For
inexplicable reasons he beat without reason one, simple on it so. Angie could
not fight against the irascibility amounts of its husband and lived in
permanent fear of him. He always afterwards apologized to it under tears and
promised her that it would never happen again, but the promises did not hold
for a long time.
As well as he been annoyed at something had, he vented his rage on Angie.
For two years Angie had let everything go out about himself, she had believed
even the reproaches of her husband that she would be responsible alone for his
behaviour. He finally had Angie him, where there she wanted to credit. He had
made a merry, emancipated young woman out who was not allowed to give any
protest and had for only her husband to be to services an anxious wreck.
On this he began simply to fly to Turkey him Angie then left alone with all
the work in the restaurant in Berlin.
The money was, always scarce what, too, Angie could never explain herself.
When he had travelled alone to Turkey once again, Angie had to close the
restaurant, since a cent more was not on the account with which she could have
shopped. Because of her demand one explained at the bank to Angie also from the
savings accounts that her husband has withdrawn the whole money. When her
husband came back and she took him to task he told her only only just that he
only has married it to come to its money and to which German citizenship. He
would have married a woman in Turkey for a long time in front of it with which
he also has children. He explained to it furthermore he would that he does not
care at all about the restaurant have enough money to be able to carefreely
live in Turkey he, however, wanted it to take along by no means. Reza laughed
at it scornfully.
When Angie asked it how it imagines this, it would think of divorce, it saw
it in squinted eyes and asked dangerously quietly whether " divorce? You
probably do not think anyway that you can leave me. I cannot afford this in my
position. I rather beat you deadly in that I seek a divorce ", had been
his words, he was slow on Angie approached. Angie got fear of death, she
absolutely believed her husband to beat and to kick it so long capable until
she was dead. She had retreated from him with fear stretched eyes step by step
until she was at the wall with the back. It came her into the meaning when it
had that there was no chance to escape noticed ', past!'. When its husband
began to hit out at it, Angie yelled from mights for help and a neighbour
actually had heard it and immediately called the police. The neighbour pounded
with his fists at the door of the flat of Angie but without success. The police
officers succeeded first under mobilization of all strengths the door to enter.
At the time, Angie had stopped shouting she had been able to whimper only. The
police officers could Reza inside overwhelmed time more briefly and put
handcuffs on him. In the meantime the emergency ambulance already came, too and
cared for Angie. At that time, she was immediately taken to a hospital and had
to have an operation for several hours. She had for days she had defeated the
death and, at long last, had been getting well again with the death wrestled
anyway.
After her dismissal out of the hospital Angie was accommodated by a social
worker only in a women's refuge. The women there and their social worker had
helped her very much when the process against their husband took place. At the process
and everything on Angie's names still came out, that Reza had made to debts
about debts. What it had presented to her had always you signed everything
blindly. This Reza would be expelled from the country, this raged and yelled at
his wife when the judge pronounced the verdict in which it was called that she
would be sorry for it still. He would be no longer here, this one enough
friends still would that way be there even if himself would take revenge on
her, instead of him.
Angie had submitted the divorce just after her move to the women's refuge,
also speedy of this one fins ran.
Shortly after the process Angie was dragged by Berlin to Kassel, she
accepted a place as an interpreter there. Your aunt whom she had told only
something about everything when she lay in the hospital wanted to help her
great-niece, but Angie had declined it. You meant that she herself is to blame
for the dilemma and must watch one's activities also as she would come out
again there.
Your aunt had understood this, she would not have traded place to Angies
differently either. Her aunt would nevertheless have calmed been, if she would
have her great-niece been able to help. She made reproaches to have not warned
her niece better or talked her in the conscience to herself anyway.
So that she, however, could be at least nearby Angie, aunt Marie moved of
her lovely manor house in Brest to an old people's home to Kassel on the edge
of the town. Angie lived in Kassel in a little one room flat with a small bath
and a kitchenette. A finery place to which she still went before her work had
looked for you again.
Your aunt was allowed to buy VW merely an old, rickety for her, so that it
could go to it. Angie had gone to it every second Sunday, she always stayed at
home otherwise, never went out not to the cinema not for the meal and not
already dancing to these at all. What she had, the only hobby the music,
special were this one of voucher Jovi. One single time she had allowed herself
it and had gone into one of her concerts. She had confessed directly in front
of the stage and when she smiled at Jon from the stage, there the spark had
about jumped also on her. She was the absolute voucher Jovi fan since then, Jon
had primarily done it to her. It had been able to get hold of a scrapped PC of
the work after that at a reasonable price and surfed in the net from there. It
had applied at that time and also closed some narrower acquaintances there at
many BJ boards. Unfortunately, everyone lived in the complete world scattered so
that it at the boards or himself could talk either in the chat or by e-mail
either only. But it helped it to get better through the hard time.
Angie's injuries had healed very well, the scars could be hardly seen,
Angie was nevertheless ashamed, their body distorted by the operations. The
scars on her soul these were much worse, these did not heal and broke them open
at night but. She had nightmares night for night months after the end of their
ordeal where she already then was so far and had quarrelled with her fate, too
the first. Why had it not died at that time? Everything then would have been
past to have to suffer again never identically in which form. It had often
considered setting its life an end itself, but if it then saw the half starved
children in the Third World on television, then it found its suicide thoughts a
sin. Your friends helped her by seek therapeutical help them made believe on
Angie insistently.
When it had taken the courage to talk with its doctor finally, this
recommended it to make a therapy, so that, formerly years, it could finally
process and complete this one. Had its doctor said, would start with a new life
for it then first?
She followed the advice of her doctor and made a therapy. It lasted for
almost a year, however, one said Angie that she felt still better. At the end
of the therapy she was happy again and could laugh again, too.
She had to work much to be able to pay her debts but she was content.
Then her great-aunt Marie suddenly had died and had left her complete
fortune to Angie. The joy was it greatly, as one communicated with Angie around
which sum was. But the mourning for the loss of her dearest aunt threw a stale
aftertaste on the joy at the inheritance and Angie intended to use the money
just like her aunt had already imagined it for her the last years. First she
terminated her finery job and paid the rest debts suddenly. She then bought a
beautiful owner-occupied flat for herself and this fitted out with much love.
Had moved into the flat as her at that time, came over a feeling of happiness
she that Angie had not known until there yet. 'Mine! It belongs to me alone and
I will have taken away from it for me of nobody the again ', she had tightly
decided for herself.
She still herself allowed a new car since the old had already landed VW on
the scrap yard and she wanted to be a little more mobile and more independent
again. Angie had allowed herself also new clothes, she had donated the old
things to the Red Cross. She had not been able to spend money on wardrobe the
last five years and what she still had from the time of her marriage had
carried only this. These were as her, loose for old things you fell a burden of
the shoulders. The chapter was finally completely crossed off. It laid out the
rest of the money.
